Wilberforce Statue, Wilberforce Drive. See also  Hull College/HSAD C49 and Queens Gardens C31

The statue’s foundations were laid in 1834. The same day that slavery was abolished in the British Colonies and a year after Wilberforce died. The statue originally stood on Monument Bridge but was moved in 1935 when Queens Dock closed
